The article on the assassination is through crime and punishment. It was the first primary source that I found through the research database. It is talking about the day that JFK was killed, and it talks a lot about his killer, Lee Harvey Oswald. There is a picture of the scene on the day of the assassination which is very important and helpful for our exhibit. I found that there have been movies and books made all about the assassination because it sent “the western world into a period of collective mourning.” (SL)

There are quotes from the secret service agent and explaining the actions of the presidents wife to create an image of the scene in your head. This will help us later for our project because we have images, quotes and a witness from the actual scene. (SL)

The article I found was a broad and had helpful information. It talks all about Kennedy, his family history, his time studying at Harvard, his time in the navy, and all of his success, as well and mishap during his journey. This textbook article was extremely helpful because I was able to get a strong foundation of Kennedy and the amazing person he was. I learned what his ideas that he had for our country and his goals overall. It is useful because it will help us be able to understand the background of Kennedy and learn who he was and what he had for this world. (NB)

This article is just stating facts, but it is reliable and helpful for our project because it tells us more about security and when security became more important. This article led to the fact that President Lincoln and President Kennedy;s assassinations were extremely similar. That will help us because now we can look into Lincoln’s assassination and find out more about his security during the time. (SL)

I found this book in the library and it is all about assassinations throughout the world, and an article focuses on John F. Kennedy. It goes into depth of what really happened on November 22, 1963, the day that JFK was murdered. It is a very specific article and explains where the president, shooter, police, and secret services all were during the shooting. It paints a picture of the scene in your head and is useful because that information is very important when studying the assassination. This article will help develop a strong thesis for the project. I found this article on President McKinley, because he was another Unites States President that was assassinated. He was murdered before John F. Kennedy, in 1901. This is very interesting because it shows how little protection the president had back then. This is very useful for our project because it gives us more of an idea of what the security was like before President John F. Kennedy. We can now focus on the growth of security for the president, and this article will help us with that. (SL)

It talks about disadvantages and advantages of the Presidents less than 1,000 days as a president. I am able to learn and understand more about the image and reality of Kennedy and the direct influence it had on not only our country but the world. (NB)

This article is useful because it briefly tells you the main parts of what happened to JFK and where and when he was assassinated. I learned the basics of what happened to him and his killer. (SL)

It creates the questions I must ask myself to expand my thoughts on this topic and help to create a strong thesis. (NB)

I found this article by researching in Google, interviews on the assassination of John F. Kennedy. This interview is with a man who was a newspaper reporter for the Dallas Times Herald. He was in charge of reporting the President’s arrival and departure. It specifically talks about if there would be a bubble top to the car that JFK was in, due to the weather. Jim Lehrer was there for many of the things that went on after the assassination that many people could not have experienced. This will help us for our project because we know more information on what really happened later that day. (SL)

The facts were unbelievable and the interviews that Kessler had with the secret service were very helpful for our topic. The author discusses all parts of the Secret Service and compares a lot of before and after information. The whole entire article will be very useful.(NB)

The article I found on President Lincoln's assassination was very astonishing. It is unbelievable to see the little to no protection Lincoln had as a President. The Protection was so minimal and the drive to protect was not even there. It is helpful for my project because it clearly shows the growth in the protection of the Presidents since Lincoln was in power. Today if a secret service man did any of the actions they use to in 145 years ago, would be unfathomable. (NB)

This article is another really helpful source because I learned more about the scene of the day of the assassination, and about the funeral. I found the John F. Kennedy book in the library at the school. It was different than most of the articles I read so I printed out the part about his death. It used quotes from many different important people and photographs with captions to clearly show the scene. I was able to reread over some of the background information I have already found, but it included more. I read about the protection and how hard the Secret Service was working and all the background to protecting the president in Texas that day. I also read about the things people liked and disliked about the president and the effects on the people that his different plans had for the country. (NB)

There was little to no security on Lincoln when he was assassinated, and this helps us see how much the Secret Service has grown and changed over the years. This gives us more of a background and idea of the assassination of President Lincoln, and will help us with our project. (SL)

The website I came across was a British news website. It talks about the 43 integrations before President Obama’s in 2009. The article discusses each integrations and the major events that took place. It looks at each and every oath and what happened to each of these special days.This shows the protection that they lacked on those days and what changes must be made to make these special and important people have a safe life. There are many different events other than assassinations that happened on these days but have been very traumatic. (NB)

It starts in 1865 and shows the change until 2008. The Secret Service has expanded over time and been far more protective to minimize the chances of assassinations. There are extreme protection precautions that are taken by security to make sure that they are fully protected.
